FOUR people in Portknockie are celebrating after winning £1000 in the postcode lottery.

The Bridge Street neighbours netted the cash prize when AB56 4LG was announced as a daily prize winner with the People’s Postcode Lottery today.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson congratulated the winners.

He said: “Congratulations to all the players winning in today’s daily prize.

"Great news to hear on a Friday, I hope you enjoy spending your winnings."

A minimum of 32 per cent of money made through ticket sales from the People's Postcode Lottery goes directly to charities.

People’s Postcode Lottery players have raised more than £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Great Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted on behalf of WaterAid, which has received more than £15.9 million worth of funding.

The charity is determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can apply for funding next year.
