Poll results show mixed views over A96 route options

Following the publication of the preferred routes for the A96 dualling, we asked our readers for their opinion on whether the selections being presented were the right choice.

There was no clear result, with 48 per cent of respondents voting in favour of the decision, 33 per cent against and 19 per cent opting for the not sure response.

While some communities and groups such as A96 Action have welcomed the plans for the route avoiding the flood plain at Kintore, other such as Bennachie Community Council have criticised the timing of the consultation which runs until February.
