Police Scotland will be hosting an online recruitment event this Saturday to encourage more women to join the force.

The event, which will take place between 10.30am and noon, aims to give an insight into the recruitment process, training for the job and the opportunities for personal and professional development.

A spokesperson said: "Women are currently under represented in the police and it is hoped the event will inspire some to embark on a career as an officer."

Microsoft Teams is required to participate.
