Police investigation launched after woman assaulted in Macduff

A police investigation which was carried out following a report of a woman being attacked in Macduff has established there was no criminality.
Officers taped off the path at the town’s Hall Crescent where there was a police presence and enquiries were made.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Following a report of an assault of a female in Hall Crescent, Macduff, on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, extensive enquiries were carried out and no criminality was established.”
