Police Scotland has confirmed that three teenagers have been charged in connection with a fire which caused damage to picnic benches at Aden Country Park in Mintlaw, on Tuesday, June 15.

The youths involved are females with one aged, 15 and two aged 17 and will be reported through the appropriate youth justice services.

Constable Tessa Alexander of Mintlaw Police Station said: “We take wilful fire-raising incidents very seriously, this is not acceptable behaviour and we will not tolerate it.

“I would like to thank the public for their patience and assistance during this enquiry.”
