Huntly missing man police appeal continues





Police are continuing to appeal for information to help trace a man who is missing from Huntly.

Jonathan Parsons (40), known as Jay, was last seen in Yule Square around 7.15am on Thursday, July 3. His vehicle was discovered at Battle Hill car park.

He is described as around 5ft 7in tall with brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue trousers, boots and carrying a green rucksack.

Inspector Barry Stewart said: “We are concerned for Jay’s welfare and enquiries are ongoing to trace him.

“Extensive searches are ongoing in Huntly, as well as the River Bogie and Battle Hill Woods areas.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen him, or knows where he may be, to come forward.

“We also ask local residents to check their sheds and outbuildings in case he has sought shelter.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1449 of July 6, 2025.
