"Speakers only get better" was the comment of Garioch Probus members this week.

The presentation from Lorna Inglis entitled Food for Thought, was on her poems written over the years.

Her skillful presentation on such subjects as an "address to the fish supper", and adapting again Robert Burns to a poem on "the Haggis croisant.

She narrated a poem on haggis crisps which had members applauding her wit and humour.

In all 15 poems were delivered, and laughter was the order of the day.

The 40 minutes were over quickly, and so professional was the content, disappointment was expressed that the poems were not published.

Her comment was they the poems were done primarily for her family and Ian Walker was commended for finding such quality and humour.

Garioch Probus meets every second Wednesday in the Kintore Arms Hotel from 10am-11.30a.m, and is for retired males and females.

All are welcome!
