Lossiemouth Military Wives choir aim to hit the right note for Fochabers Playpark Group fundraiser
A group fundraising to revitalise a community playpark are hoping some musical notes will translate into pound ones.
Fochabers Village Association Playpark Group are striving to raise £120,000 to breathe new life into the popular East Street facility.
Currently most of the equipment is over 20 years old and is either at or beyond its lifespan. Some features, such as the popular zip line, have had to be taken out of service due to their poor condition.
Coming along next month to try and help boost the group’s coffers will be the Lossiemouth Military Wives Choir who will be presenting their show Fochabers Remembers.
In addition to raising cash for the playpark and the choir itself, the performance promises to be a poignant evening of songs in remembrance for the fallen of Fochabers and the surrounding area during conflict. The choir will take a moment to remember those while singing a beautiful repertoire of songs.
Fochabers Public Institute will provide the venue for the show, which gets under way at 7.30pm on Saturday, November 8.
Tickets costing just £10 are available from Christie’ the chemist in the village and also on the door on the evening of the performance.
