PICTURES: The Gordon Schools prizegiving rewards pupils
DOZENS of Huntly pupils have been recognised for their success, growth, community spirit and sporting prowess in the Gordon Schools prizegiving.
Awards were handed out in class and whole-school categories, for achievements “growing”, “succeeding” and working “together”.
Also notable were awards marking The Gordon Schools’ success in becoming north Aberdeenshire’s top inter-school sports team, on the back of strong cross country, hockey, and athletics performances.
Among the awards for academic success, Skye Sangster won the William Will Prize for Dux of The Gordon Schools. Former Pupils’ Association Medal for Dux of The Gordon Schools sponsored by Huntly Educational Trust, while Ruby Fraser won The Gordon Schools Proxime Accessit Award.
Cameron Skene won The Stephen Torrie Trophy for Enterprise in Mathematics, and Harvey Lee Hamilton was honoured with The Portia Waddell Award for Tremendous Personal Achievement.
