Buckie in days gone by: Taking a trip to Portgordon!
Scenes from Portgordon and Buckie bask in the limelight as we take our weekly voyage into times gone by in the local area.
Buckie in days gone by will look back at pictures of the town - and surrounding areas - and shine a light on some of the biggest events to have happened in our community.
Taken from the archives of the Buckie and District Fishing Heritage Centre Ltd, the pictures show the town and its surrounding areas - in some cases more than 100 years ago.
First up this week we take a trip to a rather soggy Portgordon, where we can see some youngsters making the best of it after an instance of flooding. Sections of the village next to the coastline are still vulnerable to flooding to this day.
In the other photo, we can see a shot of the front of William Wright’s store, which seems to be offering a whole host of different goods for sale.
