Peaky Blinders the world's most watched TV show

Peaky Blinders is the world's most popular show on Netflix, according to new research.

Highspeedinterent.com has revealed that the gangster drama is the most watched programme in 24 countries worldwide.

Filming for Peaky Blinders' sixth and final series is currently ongoing.

During February the cast and crew of the show, which is set in the 1920s, came to Portsoy.

The North-East village is understood to be doubling for Miquelon, a tiny and remote French territory off the east coast of Canada.

The show is set to be broadcast either later this year or early in 2022.

According to the same research the second most popular show globally is the teenage sci-fi series Stranger Things, which is the most watched in 18 countries worldwide.
