Ury Riverside Park SCIO who have been carrying out landscaping and tree planting since work began on the park have been working on a project to create a permanent entrance to the area.

This incorporates a new granite walled entrance which will become a focal point.

With a projected cost of £51.000, the group have requested £22,400 from the Common Good Fun, which currently has around £36,000 in funds.

The group explain that at present, while they are working towards income and accessing funding from various sources to carry out works, because the park land is still in council possession, until an asset transfer is completed, many of their potential funding streams are not open to them.
