The run, which took place for the fourth time in 2024, saw its procession grow to a remarkable 235 vehicles - topping last year’s record turnout.

Bringing the community together, cash was donated to cancer charity Friends of ANCHOR, which received £5946, while Home-Start Garioch was given a £4938 boost.

A spokesperson for the event, started by James Ingram of Corse in 2021, said: “As 2024 comes to a close we have been reflecting on all those memories created this year and past years.

“Our biggest achievement (with exception of family) is organising the tractor run.

“In December 2021, coming out of Covid, a conversation with friends of how to get folks together safely to spread some cheer turned into organising the Christmas Eve tractor run and raising funds for charity.”

The first year’s event “surpassed all our expectations”, the spokesperson said, adding: “Never did we think it would become our Christmas Eve tradition.”

Over the last four years, the tractor runs have raised a total of £33,631 for six important charities.

Beginning with 75 vehicles, the numbers of those taking part has increased each year.

In 2021, the first year saw £4002 raised for Diabetes UK, with the 2022 event generating a whopping £10,080 for Alzheimers Scotland.

The number of tractor run participants soared to more than 200 in 2023, raising £4280 for the ARCHIE Foundation and £4385 for agricultural mental health charity RSABI.
