After the success of the event last October, the show is set to make a timely return with the demand for staycations at an all-time high.

Love Touring will pitch up from Thursday, November 5 to Sunday 8 at the state of the art P&J Live, taking over more space of the impressive venue and adding an extra day to the schedule to accommodate additional safety measures.

With the industry reporting a surge in caravan and motorhome sales, and research showing trends towards UK tourists choosing to stay within the country for their holidays, the show is being welcomed by both the industry and visitors.

Despite the coronavirus crisis, organiser Jamie Taylor is confident that the show will take place as planned in November as more indoor venues begin opening and plans are under way to make the event safe for all involved.

Commenting on the preparations Jamie said, “There is a huge appetite for the event as we see holiday parks filling up with the relaxation of lockdown and more and more people escaping to the open road in their caravans, motorhomes or to their holiday home.

"With so many people discovering the benefits of a staycation, combined with the uncertainty of foreign travel, the industry is seeing a massive upturn.

Visitors will have the chance to see the whole of the market in one place and the most important thing is that our visitors and exhibitors feel safe when they are here.

He continued: "We have taken more space at the venue and have extended the show to run over four days to allow social distancing measures to be in place and to let everyone explore all areas of the show safely.

"Each year our audience looks forward to seeing what’s on offer, what’s new and to compare and contrast models.

"We want to build on the success of last year and for many dealers and manufacturers this will be the first opportunity to showcase their new products in the UK which is fantastic news for Scotland.”

The show also sees the return of the accessory superstore for the latest essentials as well as the coolest gadgets for exploring.

Holidaymakers can see everything they need to plan their next escape with exhibits from holiday parks, campsites and visitor attractions including the popular North East 250.

With the rise of ethical tourism and more and more people supporting local businesses and communities, the show welcomes more local and artisan producers than before, showcasing a range of food & drinks and celebrating everything the north-east has to offer.

Jamie added, “We want to make the event an enjoyable day out for everyone, and this year more than any other that’s so important.

"As well as seeing the biggest range of products, there will also be experts on hand to provide the best advice plus lots of fun activities for the family.

"The event truly celebrates the Great British Holiday and we can’t wait to welcome visitors to the show.”

Tickets will be available to purchase in advance, priced at £12.50 for adults, including free parking at P&J Live - kids aged 16 and under are free.
