Parents and carers of north-east young people who are leaving school this summer can get information from an upcoming online session.

As thousands of pupils prepare for their next step, Skills Development Scotland (SDS) is offering an online session to help parents and carers support their children.

Scotland’s career service has organised the virtual session on Thursday, April 22. It will have information about options and how to access a wide range of assistance.

SDS careers advisers Amy Gordon and Louise Fowlie will be providing expert advice and there will be an opportunity during the session for parents and carers to ask questions.

The online session will help parents and carers of school leavers.

Amy said: “Moving on from school means young people making significant decisions about what they want to do next and support from their parents and carers is important and valuable at this time.

“Our online session will give parents and carers information about the options and opportunities that are available.

"Help is also available on SDS’s online home for career information and advice My World of Work.”

Parents and carers can join the session, which starts at 6.30pm, by registering at this webpage
