As shops have been allowed to open back up again in recent weeks, many people have been cautious about re-entering shops and having to follow new systems after having been in lockdown since March.

On her venture Shannon said : “I started my online boutique as I think for some the thought of entering a shop after lockdown is a very anxious thought.

“My husband and I have been impacted by the lockdown in different ways and I decided to put my idea to paper and see where I could go.

“I've been inspired by online selling over the last few months but noticed particularly in this area there is very little available for ladies size 16+.

“My main aim is to stock small but hopefully do it well.

“I have a varied range of stock ahead of my launch today on my Facebook page with everything from tops to jeans, but what I really want is for people to tell me what they want. "

Shannon, who's new online business, Buttons Boutique is looking forward to being creative and personal with customers ideas.

Shannon added: “The beauty of it being so personal is that I can take people's ideas and source it in their size.

“There really is nothing worse as I have experienced going in to a shop and being so deflated by the lack of sizes for all and having to take what is available because it just has to do.

“My plans for the future is to carry on being able to work from home whilst looking after my two children.

“Having a three and one year old it's difficult to find something that works round them and I'm aware that time is precious and the years fly by before they go to school.

“ I want to soak up every moment, so having my little boutique allows me to work in the evening when they are in bed and it then means I have time with them through the day.

“I would love to potentially do a pop up shop or two when things ease off and normality allows.

But for now I'm happy to start online and hopefully help woman feel confident in what they are wearing”
