As we posted on our social media channels this week, the Northern Scot's coronavirus updates will now be weekly, on a Wednesday, when the death figures are released.
This is due to the fact that the number of cases in Moray is no longer rising on a regular basis. The last recorded case of coronavirus was May 29.
Keep staying safe folks.
ONE more coronavirus-related death has been recorded in Moray, taking the area's total to 20 since the outbreak began.
Today's weekly update, released by the National Records of Scotland, showed one Moray resident died due to the virus between June 8 and June 14.
Two of the 20 deaths have occurred in care homes, six at home and 12 in hospital.
The number of confirmed cases in Moray is 78, as of Sunday, June 14.
The Scottish Government's system for reporting cases by local authority is undergoing maintenance as tomorrow, June 18, it will be updated to include test results from the UK Government’s regional testing centres, as well as data from NHS Laboratories. The number of confirmed cases in Moray is therefore likely to rise – but remember this will include historic test results.
Grampian-wide, 251 coronavirus-related deaths have been confirmed – a rise of six since last Wednesday. 1294 cases of the virus have been confirmed across the NHS Grampian health board area, as of Sunday.
Aberdeenshire (pop: 261,500) has seen 111 deaths from 438 confirmed cases of covid-19, while Aberdeen City (pop: 227,500) has seen 120 deaths from 764 cases. Highland has 197 positive cases and 49 deaths (population 235,500).
Across Scotland, 4070 people have died due to coronavirus, according to NRS figures. That includes all deaths where coronavirus was mentioned on the death certificate, even if they person hadn't tested positive for covid-19.
Of those deaths, 70 were recorded between June 8 and June 14. This is down on the 89 recorded between June 1 and June 7 and represents the seventh weekly reduction in a row of deaths involving coronavirus.
35 of the 70 deaths recorded in this update took place in care homes. 77 per cent of people who have died have been aged 75 or older, with 92 per cent of those who died having had an underlying health condition.
People in the most deprived areas are 2.1 times more likely to die with coronavirus than those living in the least deprived areas, according to the NRS, with those in urban areas four times more likely to die than those in rural areas.
The Scottish Government's daily update showed a total of 2462 people have died within 28 days of testing positive for coronavirus. 216,743 people in Scotland have been tested through NHS labs and regional testing centres, with 198,677 negative tests and 18,066 positive.
