THE Northern Lights may make an appearance over Moray tonight.

The Met Office has said there is a high chance of visible aurora on Monday evening.

Taking to Twitter, it said: “If you’re in northern Scotland keep your eyes on the skies this evening. There’s a good chance you’ll be able to see a display of the aurora.”

It also shared a short video forecast detailing the probability of seeing the Northern Lights at various times this evening.

At the forecast’s peak there’s a better than 50 per cent chance of seeing it anywhere to the north of Fort William. The probability rises to 100 per cent above Shetland.
