Coronavirus update: Cases continue to climb across the north-east

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 1159 positive cases which equates to 7.2 per cent of those tested overall.

NHS Greater Glasgow saw 459 cases, Lanarkshire 226 , Lothian 108 and Ayrshire 90 with the remaining cases across Scotland.

NHS Grampian saw 52 cases while NHS Highland saw a further nine cases.

In the seven days to November 12 there were 137 cases in Aberdeenshire (52.4 per 100,000) and 118 in Aberdeen City (51.6 per 100,000).

No deaths were recorded in Scotland in the past 24 hours which had Covid-19 as a contributing factor.
