At a meeting in Ellon Legion on Monday evening, Elizabeth Cameron kindly donated her late Husband Alan's bagpipes to the Ellon Pipe Band for the use of young band members, while Ex-Pipe Major Andrew Robertson donated his late uncle's fiddle to the Ythan Fiddlers.

The fiddle was accepted by Emily Killicoat, and Elizabeth presenting the bagpipes to Ruaridh Gault.

Ellon Pipe Band secretary Susan Anderson said: "The Band is absolutely delighted with Mrs Cameron's very kind gesture, her husband Alan was a keen bagpipe player and a great supporter of the band, and we are sure he would also be delighted that his Bagpipes have gone to a good home and will, for many years to come help to support the development of our new young players."
