MSP for Banffshire and Buchan Coast, Karen Adam, is encouraging local businesses, including bed and breakfasts, guest houses, hotels, hostels, camping parks and visitor attractions, to participate in the new Holiday Voucher Scheme.

She is also urging her constituents to check if they are eligible for the ScotSpirit Holiday Voucher Scheme, which aims to provide a subsidised break for those most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Administered on behalf of The Scottish Government, the ScotSpirit Holiday Voucher Scheme will deliver £1.4million worth to be delivered by December 2022, and support tourism businesses to recover from the pandemic by stimulating the demand for off-peak domestic breaks and day visits.

Commenting Ms Adam said: “Local businesses who sign up to the scheme will not only benefit through financial reimbursement, their participation and contribution is vital in creating a more inclusive and responsible tourism industry, highlighting the best that Banffshire and Buchan Coast has to offer.

“There are a lot of people in Banffshire And Buchan Coast who may qualify for this funding, it is there to use for people to make the best use of it.”
