A north-east consultancy firm is gearing up for its next chapter as it prepares to move into larger premises in Ellon under the guidance of a new managing director.

Health, safety, environment and quality consultancy Quensh, which operates from bases in Aberdeen and Perth, Western Australia, is gearing up to relocate to significantly larger premises in the town with newly-appointed MD Andy James at the helm.

The move to new facilities is a tactical one in line with business development strategies. Quensh’s new site will provide three times as much space and it will offer space to grow as the company's staff increases.

This year alone, Quensh has achieved a 50 per cent increase in personnel across its UK and Asia Pacific operations.

Mr James has spent more than a decade in senior management positions with international energy firms operating within the UK, north and west Africa, the Middle East and South America.

His wealth of experience includes leading the successful restructuring of organisations, the introduction of new products and services and nurturing client and business relationships.

He said: “My initial focus will be on ensuring that we have the right team in place to deliver our ambitious growth targets in the UK and in Australia.

"Our new premises in Ellon will correctly position us to accommodate a growing team.

“In the last few years, Quensh has successfully strengthened its position in the market through organic growth, track record and reputation and we will use these as linchpins to take the business to the next level in terms of sectoral and geographic spread.”

Established in 2006, Quensh has supported more than 50 organisations around the world to manage and mitigate risk while optimising business performance.

Services it provides includes training, data analysis, incident investigation and workforce engagement.

The firm has supported projects and clients in 25 countries, across six continents.

Quensh director and shareholder Donna Hutchison said: “We are delighted to have Andy on board as we forge ahead with our long-term vision.

"His knowledge and experience in driving companies forward will bring to the table multiple benefits as we navigate new opportunities, locations and revenue streams.”
