Aberdeenshire roadworks set to take place on A90
Amey is undertaking overnight surfacing improvements on the A90 to the north of the village of Crimond from Tuesday, December 17 to Thursday, December 19.
The project, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will address defects on approximately 235 metres of the A90 trunk road.
Work will take place from Mill of Crimond to the Millhill/Newark Junction.
An Amey spokesman said: “To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under two overnight road closures between 7.30pm and 6.30am.
“All traffic management is scheduled to be removed by 6.30am on Thursday, December 19.
“The following diversion will be in place during the overnight road closures.
“Northbound traffic can leave the A90 at Peterhead and take the A950 west to Mintlaw.
“Traffic can then take the third exit at The Square roundabout and head north on the A952 to rejoin the A90 at Rathen.
“Southbound traffic can take the route in reverse.
“The resurfacing will benefit more than 5700 vehicles who use this route each day, creating a smoother ride for motorists and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.
“All schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.”
