Motorcyclist in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries after crash in Portsoy

THIS was the scene of an accident which closed the A98 through Portsoy earlier today.

A motorcyclist on an off road scrambler type bike had been travelling from Banff direction when it collided with the wall of a building.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received report of a one-vehicle crash, after a motorbike struck a wall, on Seafield Street, Portsoy around 9.30am on Monday, October 4

."The 18-year-old male motorcyclist has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries."

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and any witnesses with dashcam footage are being asked to make contact with local police."
