A SPATE of break-ins has hit the north of Scotland overnight, with two places in Moray affected.
Harbro in Elgin and Mackenzie and Cruickshank in Forres were both broken into last night, with police investigating today.
Black Isle Brewing and Cromarty-based Egg Box Shop also suffered break-ins overnight.
Posting on social media, Harbro Country Stores said: "Our Elgin store is currently closed due to a break in last night and will remain closed until the police have finished their investigations (possibly all day).
"Apologies for any inconvenience caused."
Mackenzie and Cruickshank was also closed this morning – but reopened at 1.30pm.
They said: "Unfortunately, Mackenzie and Cruickshank will be unable to open following a break-in to the premises overnight.
"Police are currently here investigating. We will update you as soon as we can. Thank you for your patience at this time."
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
