A MORAY mansion is currently one of the most viewed on online property site Zoopla amid the popularity of the Netflix series, Bridgerton.

Escaping to a world of high society and romance through the new period drama has become a highlight for many through the latest lockdown.

Not only are people binge-watching the show, but it seems they’re also searching for their dream Georgian-era home, with Cairnty House, at Orton near Fochabers, the most viewed Georgian-style property in the UK over the last 30 days.

The 586-acre residential and sporting estate is for sale for offers over £2,650,000 through Strutt and Parker.

The 21st-century Bridgerton-esque mansion is built in a classical Georgian design. It comes with a range of outbuildings, including a three-bedroom cottage, three inhabited dwellings, a pheasant shoot and a let farm.

Cairnty House was commissioned by the owners and built to their own design and specification, with the symmetry and proportions reminiscent of the mid-Georgian period. It is both a family home and sporting lodge for entertaining parties of shooting and fishing guests.

The home, overlooking the River Spey, was completed in 2012.

The eight-bedroom main house boasts seven bathrooms and four reception rooms.

There are 265 acres of woodland and forestry land to explore, equivalent to 200 football pitches.

Netflix Original series Bridgerton has already reached number one on Netflix’s top 10 in 76 countries.
