Five of the group work for the founding business, Robertson Construction Northern, which has been delivering projects across Moray, Aberdeenshire and the Highlands since 1966.

Brian McQuade, Chief Operating Officer, Robertson Group, said: “Long service like this speaks volumes about the culture and family values we have at Robertson.

“One where dedication and loyalty is rewarded and recognised and where people want to stay, grow and make a difference.

“Beyond their own contributions, many of them have played a vital role in mentoring and supporting the next generation too, passing on their skills and values.”

Neil Ross began his career in joinery and has achieved a remarkable 40 years with the firm. He is now team leader of the Robertson Timber Engineering team and supervises manufacturing at the Elgin factory.

Also with 40 years of service is labourer John Donnelly who has gained a stellar reputation in Elgin for mentoring many younger workers over the years and passing on his skills and experience.

Neil Paton joined the firm 25 years ago as a labourer and is now an aftercare manager.

Jamie Golden is now a site manager after 25 years with the business having started as a labourer and forklift driver.

Keith Wood also joined Robertson 25 years ago. He is known for being an excellent joiner and has worked all over northern Scotland alongside his brother Kevin.

Finally, labourer Karl Thompson, who was unable to make the event in person, was honoured for his 25 years with the firm having worked on projects across Moray and the Highlands including the £60m single living accommodation project at RAF Lossiemouth.
