Missing woman is found by police

Police have traced a missing Cuminestown woman safe and well.

Kathleen Hadden (55) had last be see at about 8.45am on Thursday at her home in the village.

Officers had recovered her car – a light blue Volvo V40 car – parked on the B9022 in the Gordonstown area near Ordiquhill following a call from a member of the public at around 8.15am on Friday.

Police confirmed that she was found later on in the morning.

A police spokesman said: "We are pleased to confirm that Kathleen Hadden, who was reported missing from Cuminestown, has been traced safe and well.

"The public are thanked for their assistance."
