The book details the lives of the thirteen civic heads of the burgh with a chronological list of more than 120 councillors during the 85 years of the burgh's existence.

A spokesperson for the group said: “The book has been many years in the making as it was to originally have been included in our 2013 publication Companion to the Standing Stones, but it was thought that the history of Keith Town Council would merit a book of its own.

“Fast forward through twelve years and two other books it was realised that 2025 would be 50 years since the demise of Keith Town Council in 1975 and this would be a timely opportunity to revive the notes about the Provosts and the burgh from our archives and present them in book form.”

The book is now on sale priced £6.50.
