Loganair has announced two routes flying from Aberdeen as part of a new programme of flights.

This winter marks a return of the direct Aberdeen-Bristol service for the first time since before the pandemic, replacing its current one-stop service between the two cities.

The flights will operate five times a week on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

The airline will also start connecting Aberdeen, Teesside and Southampton, a route that had been cancelled by another operator. The new service will commence on March 27, 2022, flying daily with the exception of Saturday.

The service provides the opportunity for passengers to fly from Aberdeen to Southampton with a one stop service where they can remain on the aircraft for the entire journey.

The airline has also announced it will recommence its Inverness and Dublin service for the first time since before the pandemic, flying from May 27, 2022, up to four times per week.

There will also be a service between Shetland and Dundee, which will allow for a one stop service between Shetland and London City for the first time. The route is set to commence from May 9, 2022, and will operate twice weekly on a Monday and Thursday for business and leisure travellers alike.

Loganair recently announced that it would return to international travel for the first time since the start of the pandemic, as it brings back services to both Stavanger and Bergen next year.

The airline also announced a new route between Teesside and Dublin, while increasing the frequency of many of its domestic services to enhance UK connectivity.

Chief commercial officer at Loganair Kay Ryan said: “We are looking to 2022 with optimism and continuing to connect more and more of the UK as we are able to do.

“Customer booking patterns will remain an incredibly important factor for us as we review which services we operate and which destinations we add either frequency or additional seat capacity to.

"We’ve had a really positive reaction from customers so far for next summer

"And we look forward to welcoming old and new alike back on board.”

Customers can now book flights on services from March 27, 2022. Flights can be booked from today until mid- August 2022, and future flights beyond that date will become bookable around 11 months in advance.

Customers who currently have a booking ‘on hold’ and have been waiting for next summer’s schedule to go on sale to amend their original booking, should email Summer22bookings@loganair.co.uk
