Buckie roadworks round-up for the week ahead





The Yardie in Buckie is the focus for a number of different roadworks over the course of the coming week.

Streetlight replacement work is under way at the following Yardie locations: From the Coastguard station to No 14, The Yardie; No 14-110 Main Street; No 20 Harbour Head.

Up the road in Buckpool, BT Openreach are expected to start work at some point between November 18-26 for 10 working days outside Seaview Road and John Street.

The firm will be enabling new localised ultra-fast broadband connections This activity involves excavation to Install telecoms duct to provide service and reinstatement.

Openreach also have work ongoing at at 9 Archibald Court.

Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to fix damage to the carriageway on McLaren’s Brae caused by torrential rain.

Scottish Water are scheduled to being work on East Cathcart Street near the police station on Thursday or Friday to replace a manhole. It is envisaged the work will last for three working days.
