DETERMINED Lewis Mackay is not getting out of the saddle just yet.

The six-year-old has racked up 100 miles on his new bike in support of Breast Cancer Now.

However, Lewis is having so much fun he has decided to keep pedalling.

The youngster’s fundraising is approaching the £6000 mark.

Dad Kyle has been his chaperone out and about on the bike around the roads of Keith and Newmill.

“He will keep going until the end of the month,” he said.

Lewis wanted to help his aunt Trisha Davidson, who normally hosts a strawberry tea every year at Netherton Farm, just outside Keith for Breast Cancer Now.

The event has raised more than £27,000, however, the 11th annual tea had to be cancelled due to Covid-19.

Lewis decided he wanted to help her raise some money and came up with the idea of cycling as far as he could.

His parents, Kyle and Lisa, of Fife Avenue, Keith set up a crowdfunding page on Justgiving for Lewis.

His dad works for Diageo at Strathmill Distillery and staff there have also contributed.

Trisha (48) described Lewis as a “wee champion” for his terrific efforts.

She is involved in a strawberry tea delivery service during the pandemic to help raise funds for the charity and hopes the tea will return in 2021.
