Latest update: Aberdeenshire Council confirms removal of Spaces for People measures

It was confirmed this afternoon that Spaces for People measures in Turriff are the first to be removed by Aberdeenshire Council.

Following discussions this week with Turriff Business Association who have fought against the measures that were installed in the interests of public safety officers from Aberdeenshire Council agreed that the measures would be removed starting from tomorrow.

It is expected that all the measures will be removed by the end of the week with only the 20mph speed limit remaining in place.

Confirmation is still to be had from Aberdeenshire Council over measures which are in place in Inverurie, Ellon, Banchory and Stonehaven.
