Constable David Calvert said: “We are looking to speak to anyone with information on this theft, or the vehicles in question.

"We are also keen to speak with anyone who may have been driving on the B987 entry to Kintore on any of the nights towards the end of the week and may have seen any suspicious activity.

“Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting incident 1075 of 23 July.

"Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”

The club themselves are now appealing for help to replace the items

In a statement posted via social media Kintore United Football Club said: "We are a small community club providing football activities to over 200 local children.

"The running of this club is all from parents and community volunteers and in the main we are funded through player subscriptions and fundraising.

"On Saturday we discovered that our Quad bike and two ride on mowers - all with a total value of approximately £6000 had been stolen.

"The club cannot afford to replace these without the help of the local community and this equipment is essential in order to keep a football pitch and the new season will be starting shortly.
