Mart kickstarts Christmas in Fetternear

FESTIVE fun filled Fetternear Hall, near Inverurie, for a Christmas mart on Saturday.

10 stall holders had gone to town with their attractive displays and the tearoom provided sustenance for weary customers.

Kemnay author Fairley Taylor was promoting her latest book, Culinary spices and their medicinal uses.

She is already working on her tenth book, Hidden Histories Of Scotland, and as an environmental award winner earlier this year she led one of her foraging walks in Inverurie High Street where surprisingly 57 plants with medicinal properties were discovered.

Jams and jellies maker Karen Miah from Inverurie was kept busy with customers seeking her homemade preserves and she was assisted by her daughter Sophie, both attired in jolly jumpers.

Blairdaff floral artist Hollie Stinson was sitting amongst a woodland wonderland of festive foliage and was kept busy with customers looking for unusual wreaths and garlands.
