A KEITH man who downloaded indecent images and videos of children will be sentenced next month.

Euan Davidson (40), of Fraser Place, was due to be sentenced at Inverness Sheriff Court today after a background report had been prepared – but social workers wanted more information and the case has been continued until June 28.

Davidson did not appear in court and the continuation was done remotely.

At a previous hearing, the court was told that, in October 2019, Police Scotland received intelligence that on October 3, 2018, Facebook user Euan Davidson had uploaded a category A indecent image of a child.

Police obtained a search warrant for Davidson's Keith home and examination of his mobile uncovered 16 category A, B and C images of children.

The children featured were estimated to be between four and 14 years of age and were engaged in erotic posing, non-penetrative sexual activity with each other and adults, and penetrative sexual activity with each other and an adult.

As well as the still images, seven category A and C videos of male children, from babies to 15 year olds, engaged in masturbation and penetrative sexual activity with each other and adults were also found.

Davidson was immediately placed on the Sex Offender's Register.
