Incidents highlight continued issue of fly-tipping in Aberdeenshire

Residents in north-east towns including Inverurie and Ellon have expressed their anger over incidents of fly-tipping in rural locations, despite waste centres being open.

This week has already seen domestic waste left at the side of the road in several places including the SRUC campus and Craibstone golf course.

Near Inverurie a considerable pile of items were left on the Kingoodie Road heading up to Hillbrae Farm to the north of the town, and rubbish has been repeatedly found in bags near the Polinar Dam.

Over in Ellon nearly 20 bags were found at the side of the road near Kirkton Of Logie Buchan.

Residents are reminded that waste centres are open and appointments can be made online or by phone.
