A clear and crisp day on Saturday saw the north-east's competitive ploughers head to Upper Third farm, near the well known Thorneybank Farm shop for the final competitive match of the season and the crowning of the Grampian Supermatch league winners.

Over 30 competitors were joined at the site by dozens of spectators who travelled out to the rural location to watch the eclectic mix of tractors in action.

With everything from the latest models with muli-furrow reversible ploughs through to some truly vintage open cab machines, the skill of the operators was on show as they worked to plough their respective plots within the time limits.
