In Pictures: Gordon Art Exhibition showcases local talent

The Gordon Art Exhibition which opened today and runs through to March 19 in the Garioch Heritage Centre in Inverurie offers a window into the eclectic mix of artists working in the north-east.
From local painters, ceramic creators and silversmiths through to the next generation of emerging artists and talented youngsters, there is a wonderful selection of works on display, with many also available for purchase.
The competition entries this year for the Rotary sponsored competitions including some fantastic architectural imagery from the young photographers and highly decorative scenic work.
Several participants are also in residence for the event including Natalie Taylor with her nature inspired ceramic creations and silversmith Sara Harper who explains her techniques for creating items and how she creates textures in her work.
Joining them is Alison Milne with a diverse range of creative work which showcases her talents in mixed media and which range from cards and photographs through to 3D work using salvaged material.
The showcase is open from 10am-4pm with free entry and visitors can also participate in the selecting a winner for the public vote for their selection of the best exhibition.
