Hilton SWI celebrates its 100th anniversary

Members and past members of Hilton SWI celebrated being a 100 in style at their local Hilton Hall where their meetings are held.
The theme was Heads and Heels , having a vintage afternoon tea , provided by Fiona Forrest , which was absolutely delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Hilton SWI was formed in 1922 where the met in Hilton School across the road from the hall, with the hall being built in 1932 where the ladies have continued to meet along with community groups and now many other users using it .
Members were worried like many others afterC ovid , but are back in full swing .
They may be a small group but all the ladies are so friendly and willing and as members say "we get on grand."
"Our local hall is very well kept and the icing on the cake was us receiving funding to have a new kitchen fitted from generous local Wind Farms to which we are very grateful for.
"This wasn't finished completely but nearly so we were able to show all our past members our new stunning kitchen .
"Our wonderful honorary member Gina Mitchell gave a little speech and cut the cake which was made and donated by member Ann Stevenson. Federation President Ann Pirie gave a very informative speech .
"All in all the afternoon was perfect and well- done ladies , such an achievement."
