TURRIFF will have to wait a little longer to find out how it fared in the 2019 Great British High Street Awards.

The town centre was shortlisted for the title of High Street Of The Year - one of three town centre's in Scotland to make the list - and the results were expected to be announced on November 21.

Chairman of Turriff Business Association also made the shortlist of High Street Champion.

This has now been pushed back to January 23, 2020, due to the regulations surrounding pre-election Government campaigns.

If Turriff wins the title it would mean that the town could receive up to £15,000 to use towards improving the town centre.
