Pupils and staff at Monquhitter Primary School shared their secret superpowers with the world by doing sponsored challenges to raise money for Comic Relief.

With exercising, dancing, comedy and Makaton songs the youngsters were busy throughout last week with their fundraising and collected £782.38.

The children and teachers also dressed up as their favourite superheroes on Red Nose Day.

Teacher Gayle Macleod said: "The house captains who planned and organised the week’s events, had an outdoor fun day arranged but unfortunately it was postponed due to the weather.

"However, we still made the most of the day by creating our own superhero masks and holding a design a red nose competition for each class.

"We are hugely thankful to all who donated and supported our fundraising efforts."
