Police confirmed that the raid, at around 6.45pm on Thursday, August 29, revealed an “extensive cannabis cultivation”.

A 36-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with drug offences.

He is due to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Friday, August 30, 2024.

Officers were seen standing guard outside the building today, nearly 24 hours after the raid.

Detective Sergeant Steven Young said: “This is a significant recovery and is an example of our efforts to disrupt the trade in illegal drugs in Scotland.

“It also underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.

“We would continue to urge anyone with information or concerns about drugs and firearms activity in their area to contact Police Scotland on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
