Haddo launches Too Lovely to Litter poetry competition

People of all ages are being invited to put pen to paper, or indeed finger to keyboard to create a poem that will inspire visitors to Haddo to look after their litter responsibly.

Haddo House has launched a poetry competition to help encourage people to take home their litter.

The main messages are:

1. Look after Haddo.

2. Please take litter home to recycle.

3. Dog Poo bins are for just for dog poo.

The winners will be judged by how clearly they have been able to convey their message.

All types of poetry are encouraged, Acrostic, Haiku, Rhyming, Cinquain, Epic, Sonnet or even a Ballad and especially Doric poems would be much welcomed.

Categories for entries are five to 11; 12 to 18 and 18+.

Enter by sending your work to Gillian at haddogillian@gmail.com by August 30.
