Aberdeenshire children will benefit from Befriend a Child’s Golden Anniversary Ball
A children’s charity is preparing for its biggest fundraising event of 2025.
Befriend a Child will hold its Golden Anniversary Ball for the third consecutive year.
The event, taking place on Friday, May 30 at The Chester Hotel, will mark 50 years of supporting children and young people across Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen.
The charity has announced that civil engineering contractors, WM Donald, will return as headline sponsor.
Its support plays a vital role in helping ensure the event’s success.

Guests of the Golden Anniversary Ball will enjoy a drinks reception, fun games, speeches, a three-course dinner, and an evening of entertainment, hosted by Kevin Littlejohn.
The night will also feature a charity auction, raffle and plenty of opportunities to dance the night away – all in support of children facing difficult life circumstances.
The charity currently supports more than 250 children and young people each year, providing positive role models, fun activities and emotional support to help them build brighter futures.
As anticipation builds for the charity’s biggest fundraising event of the year, a variety of sponsorship opportunities are still available for organisations looking to align with the local cause.

Tickets are priced at £100 per person or £1000 for a table of 10, with all funds raised going directly towards Befriend a Child’s befriending and mentoring programmes, youth clubs and family support services.
