Game of the week is WWE 2K23 on Xbox Series X.

WWE 2K23 is a big improvement from the previous year, with the graphics, animations, and controls all feeling smoother and much more realistic.

Some fantastic new additions include WarGames, a new game mode many fans have been calling for – and it doesn’t disappoint.

It’s a chaotic four-on-four bout that takes place in two rings placed inside terrifying fencing.

Safe to say it’s a cagey affair.

The career mode and universe mode are where this game shines through.

You can be your very own created wrestler or company manager, both modes are great.

Career mode has two different storylines, The Lock and The Legacy, both are fantastically rewarding and engaging, having fantastic replay value.

A few weaknesses of the game are some strange facial expressions and universe mode needs more customisable options.

Nevertheless, the overall gaming experience is full of whacky showmanship.

Also out this week is Orange on Mobile a relaxed, vibrant puzzler that is brilliantly simple.

Is it revolutionary? No.

But, it is really soothing, while also a challenging puzzler.

A simple idea, make the screen orange, be it through tapping, swiping, or moving quickly and strategically, you get to use your brain and calm your nerves as you cover the screen in bright colour.

This is a really pleasant puzzler, but the novelty will wear off pretty rapidly, due to its simplicity.

The Crown of Wu on PC, PlayStation 4/5 sees players become the legendary warrior Wukong, back to make amends for his past.

This game offers a combination of puzzle-solving and fighting enemies.

The settings for PC appear to be very basic, allowing little to no customisation.

The PC port overall does not seem to be optimised at all.

The graphics are also not adequate for a game released in 2023, it seems more suitable for a game released back in the early 2000s.

You cannot customise controls, however, if you use a controller, it’s easy to control the character.

The story doesn’t feel very engaging, as you’re only reading text and constantly fighting against NPCs.
