Strathbogie Horticultural Show show success as entrants and attendees ‘well up’





The number of entrants and spectators were “well up” at a successful north-east flower show.

The Strathbogie Horticultural Show took place at the Gordon Schools in Huntly on Saturday, August 31.

Scores of trophies were handed out to excited winners, with treasurer Kathleen Raeburn happy with the number of entrants.

“Entries were well up this year and a lot of new exhibitors took part which was very encouraging to see,” Kathleen said.

“Spectator numbers were also well up, creating a great atmosphere at the show.”

Former committee member Mrs Betty Smith presented the trophies.
