SEPA has issued a coastal flood alert for parts of Aberdeenshire during the weekend.

The northern coast from Fraserburgh to Buckie may be particularly affected due to a combination of higher than normal tides, strong winds being forecast by the Met Office and large waves overnight on Saturday into Sunday .

There is a risk of flooding from high water levels, waves and spray to low lying coastal areas with the greatest risk around the time of high water at 1.30am on Sunday.
