Five day road closure leads to long diversion near Cruden Bay

Motorists are being advised of a five-day closure on the stretch of road between Longhaven and Cruden Bay road for the installation of a culvert.

In the interests of public safety the A975 – A90 to Cruden Bay Road at Tillymaud Croft will be closed from Monday, March 29.

Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.

As Aberdeenshire Council cannot divert traffic onto roads which are not suitable for larger vehicles, the diversion route is via the A975 to A90, A90 south, A90 onto slip A975, A975 to Main Street, Newburgh, Main Street onto A975, A975 to Aulton Road Cruden Bay, Aulton Road onto Bridge Street, Bridge Street onto Errolston Road, Errolston Road onto A975 and vice versa.
