The generosity of Turriff residents helped local firefighters to raise a fantastic sum for charity.

The popular tour of the festively decorated fire engine raised over £3600 for the Firefighters Charity.

Local volunteers ended the tour with a Saturday morning stint parked up on High Street where visitors could see the lights and take a look inside the fire engine.

A Turriff Fire Station representative said: "To say we are blown away by the generosity of our community in these uncertain times is an understatement.

"Our Christmas collection has raised £3623.44.

"We can’t thank you enough for every penny that you gave."
